• Account information: When you sign in via Manus OAuth, we receive your name and email address.
• Garden photos: Images you upload are stored securely in our cloud storage (Amazon S3) to generate your design. We do not use your photos to train AI models.
• Design data: The garden designs we generate for you are stored so you can access them later in "My Designs".
• Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We store only your Stripe Customer ID and Subscription ID — we never see or store your card details.
• Usage data: We track how many designs you have generated to enforce free and premium allowances.
• Analytics: We use anonymised analytics to understand how the app is used. No personally identifiable information is included.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To generate AI garden designs based on your uploaded photos and preferences.
• To manage your account, subscription, and design allowance.
• To process payments securely via Stripe.
• To send you important service updates (not marketing emails).
• To improve the quality and performance of our service.

3. Cookies and Advertising

We use cookies to maintain your login session and to serve relevant advertisements via Google AdSense (publisher ID: ca-pub-1803754536108048). Google may use cookies to show you personalised ads based on your browsing history. You can opt out of personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Stripe — for payment processing (stripe.com/privacy)
• Amazon Web Services (S3) — for secure image storage

• Manus — our hosting and authentication platform (manus.im)

5. Data Retention

Your account data and garden designs are retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data including uploaded photos and generated designs will be permanently deleted within 30 days. Payment records are retained for 7 years as required by UK tax law.

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectify inaccurate data.
• Erase your data ("right to be forgotten").
• Restrict or object to processing.
• Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure cookie handling, and access-controlled cloud storage. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take all reasonable steps to protect your data.

8. Children's Privacy

My Garden AI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
